Fall Work Day Thank you & Recap:

Thank you to all the volunteers who turned out on Saturday, October 22nd for our Fall Work Day to help us clear the grounds of leaves, weeds, sticks, branches and litter!  Because of you our east shelters were cleared and picnic tables were stacked, the east playground and soccer field were weeded, the landscape beds around the buildings and pool were raked and weeded, the decks were cleared of leaves, the office windows and screens were washed inside and out, the Activity Center was cleaned and organized for winter, the pond permimeter was cleared of weeds and brush, the west playground was raked, the west shelters and their roofs were cleared of leaves and sticks, bushes were trimmed, and the firewood shelters at the fire pits were replenished.

It was a productive day and the Lord blessed us with sunny, warm weather to work in.  We are so thankful to all of you for sharing your time and energy and skills at Camp Manitoqua; we certainly could not have done it without you! We hope you can join us again for our Spring Work Day on April 15, 2023 from 8:30 – 11:30am.

Why the work day?

It would be difficult for us to imagine what the ministry of Camp Manitoqua would be like if we did not have the support of local churches, organizations and our brothers and sisters in Christ co-laboring alongside us on our spring and fall work days. It is truly inspiring to see volunteers of all ages come together for the purpose of beautifying the campgrounds and completing various projects in an effort to improve Camp Manitoqua. Watching people volunteer to accomplish dirty and sometimes difficult jobs all out of a common love for Camp Manitoqua and for the Lord is a humbling experience for us. When we come together to co-labor for great Kingdom purposes in His name, we believe God receives all the honor and glory. Without your help on these Work Days, we would not be able to serve guests the way we do. Won't you help us in our mission to provide a setting that invites others to a personal commitment to Christ as their Lord & Savior?
