Every year the Friday of Week 10 is one of those milestone days for us. It marks the end of a summer camp season which leaves us feeling a lot of different emotions.

In this issue of the Manitoqua Messenger, we open up our grounds beyond what we are most commonly known for - our summer camp. We talk about what has been happening with our year-round retreats, our outdoor education program, as well as some other exciting news around grounds.

You see, we have a great support system here at Manitoqua. We knew that if we couldn’t get the work on Saturday the 21st we could get the word to our supporters and ask them for help in May to finish and it would have been done. But as it stands, the temperatures warmed and we had a beautiful day for working on April 21st. The support of the volunteers accomplished great things. Thank you, volunteers, and thank you to those who also helped fund the projects!

Looking for some fun winter activities? Come enjoy a game night at Camp Manitoqua on Monday nights! This series of games nights is for children in first grade all the way through freshmen year in high school. In light of this age range we will divide the children into three groups based on age. We will have twenty minute rotations so each child will have a chance to play each game. The cost will be five dollars for each child per week*.
